Childhood Tui Na or Acupressure
Children’s Tui Na or Acupressure is a technique of MTCH that consists of the stimulation of acupuncture points and in children using manual techniques, with the objective of readjusting the energy imbalances, responding very well to this technique.
Touching gently or maintaining the skin during massage stimulates the receiving mecans (sensory receptors for changes arising from the application of mechanical energy: touch, pressure, vibration). This allows the spinal cord to «block» the painful impulses, transmitted by the pain receptors (the nocireptors), on their way to the encephalon.
Benefits of massage:
- Relieves discomfort caused by colic and gas.
- It favors the baby’s natural bowel movement and prevents constipation.
- Stimulates the baby sensory, which could help to mature his nervous system.
- Facilitates the baby’s sleep.
